FMI NORTH - NE PORTLAND OPENINGS

JOURNEYMAN DIESEL TECHNICIAN - SWING SHIFT

$3,000 Hiring Bonus for working swing shift! 

$5 per hour shift differential!!

4:00 PM to 12:30 AM; Monday to Friday

 

FIVE YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH DIESEL ENGINES!

Position Requirements:  Experience in diagnosis & trouble shooting, repairing, rebuilding & replacement of diesel engines and components.  Experience with electrical and fuel systems components specific to medium duty commercial trucks.  See the side bar for detailed job description and position requirements.

PARTS SPECIALIST

$17-19 Per Hour DOE

Day Shift (Hours TBD); Monday to Friday

​

ONE year of related experience and/or training.

​

Position Requirements:  

Sells parts to businesses and individuals at the counter and on the telephone. Maintain parts data base and assign part numbers and descriptions. Track open purchase orders and close purchase orders.  Match receipts to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies. Pull Orders and Cycle counting. Communicate clearly in all aspects of position to all customers.

Must have intermediate computer skills, such as Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn to drive a forklift. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb in and out of trucks, up and down a ladder, squat, bend and reach above your head.  Also, sitting and keyboarding for long periods of time.

 

BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN - TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE!

$20-26 Per Hour DOE

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; Monday to Friday

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school; or THREE years related experience.

​

Position Requirements:  

Review and diagnose services/repairs/production needed for each vehicle. Refer to repair order for instructions on how to proceed per customer’s request. Repair per RO professionally with speed and efficiency. Order parts needed for necessary repairs/services by furnishing the proper paperwork to the Parts Dept. 

 

Must have Assembly, Fabrication, Welding and Electrical skills; the ability to read, write clear and concise memos in legible penmanship and computer keyboarding skills. Must be able to calculate figures based on measurements needed for repair or service of vehicles. Must be able to read a schematic, use a measuring tape and understand basic geometry, as well as possess analytical problem solving skills.

Must possess a valid driver's license, be insurable and own tools.

​
