Since 1998 FMI has produced an electric drive version of the Isuzu NPR and NQR for GSE airport operations. Our electric drive units come in 12,000# to 17,995# GVWR. Our system uses a 96-volt drive system with 65 to 85 horsepower, depending on the application.
There are over 285 Isuzu Parts and Service Centers across the U.S.A. An Isuzu Electric Drive vehicle has the added benefit of using the common parts of other Isuzu diesel and gas vehicles in a GSE fleet. The Isuzu Electric Drive vehicle is by far the best supported electric vehicle available in the marketplace today.
Our units have proven to be extremely reliable and trouble free. There are FMI electric drive vehicles currently operating in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Dubai, Great Britain and Puerto Rico.
FMI also designs and builds electric conversion kits for GSE equipment, 72-volt/1,000 pound load capacity trucks, and multipurpose electric towing units.
