If fully developed, this unit will be built on both the Isuzu NKR (3,000# DRP) and the Isuzu NPR (5,000# DRP).
FMI's Mini Bobtail is a transformed Isuzu NKR model chassis. The unit starts with a standard 11,000# GVWR rating and is two-thirds the size of the standard Isuzu NPR.
The cab features all of the comforts and ergonomic conveniences you expect from a high volume production cab. For example, tilt and telescopic steering, two-way roof vent, adjustable seats and doors that open 90 degrees wide.
The Bobtail Body and Cab Guard System are made from 1/2" and 1" plate to withstand the daily ramp operations of an airline. Common sense design enhancements such as cut corners, line of sight pintle hitch and a flat deck for quick luggage delivery make the Mini Bobtail tractor easy to drive and easy to operate.
